All SSP colleagues are entitled to a minimum of 28 paid holidays pro rata including Bank Holidays.

In Operations, if you achieve your set targets and goals, you could earn a bonus of up to 15-30% of your annual salary (depending on role).
Incentives are in place at regional and national level, plus local manager-run reward & recognition schemes. We also pay unsocial hours premiums for some brands.
If you are one of our many colleagues working in operations, there is no need to bring a packed lunch to work as you’ll be entitled to a discounted SSP meal.
In a lot of our locations, we offer a wide variety of operating hours which mean we can offer full time or part time shifts to fit around your needs.
We provide uniforms to frontline colleagues in branded operations. We have an online service detailing negotiated rates and/or discounts on a wide range of products that our teams have told us they value. Things like: Travel (hotels / holidays / car hire); Health – eye care, dental care, cycle to work scheme (bike discounts); Leisure – visitor attractions, cinema tickets, bowling and laser games, gym scheme, dining discounts; Motoring – vehicle breakdown, vehicle maintenance, tyres; Retail – 5-15% discounts off ‘High St’ and online retailers and service providers such as supermarkets, beauty, fashion and electrical etc...
We have an excellent ‘Learning and Development’ team who deliver our award winning management development programmes to take your career to the next level in management, for those that want to progress ! (These programmes are also linked to nationally recognised qualifications from NVQ to A-Level to Degree level status, so we really do invest in your long term development). SSP offers opportunities to transfer into different categories (coffee & bakery brands, casual dining, fast food, bars, retail brands etc.) and get exposure to multi-unit and multi-site management, as well as progression into support functions like Operational Excellence, HR/Training, business systems / IT support etc.

Our points based reward scheme
Where points really do mean prizes, Celebrate! gives you the chance to send e-cards, e-badges and awards to those that you want to recognise. Absolutely anyone in the business can send someone an e-badge or an e-card to say thank you, well done or congratulations. Any manager can nominate staff for doing something that helps us live our values and achieve our strategy. With points linked to prizes, anything from 100 – 2000 points are available to managers to reward others in the business. Your accumulated points can be used to claim prizes - this could be anything from an alarm clock to designer jewellery.
